As Tallinn’s skyline and seaside expands, so do its number of  restaurants overlooking the stunning Baltic Sea coast. For food with views, these venues offer some of the most spectacular in Tallinn.

There is a significant number of seafood and fish restaurants in Tallinn and many of these have a spectacular sea view.

In all cities around the world, good restaurants try to find a location with the best possible view. Tallinn is no exception. On the way from Tallinn to Viimsi, there are four restaurants – Tuljak, Sardiinid, NOA and Paat – all of which offer million-euro views of the silhouette of the Old Town and Tallinn Bay. Only as stone’s throw from Pirita Beach, The Kalev Yacht Club restaurant is not only for yacht owners, but offers great cuisine experiences for everybody – grown-ups and children alike. Naturally, seafood is the central tenet of these restaurants by the Tallinn Bay.

The Seafood Bar, Viru 23
The Seafood Bar is a new dining place located near Viru Gate offering a large selection of seafood. Chef Dmitri Fomenko has put all his experience, skills and travel impressions into the menu. The menu includes pure and simple tastes of the Mediterranean, as well as Estonian and Asian-style dishes. Experienced cooks work side-by-side with cocktail masters, who skilfully mix together classic, trendy and refreshing summer cocktails.

Finlandia Caviar Tallinn, Väike-Karja 1
The upper floor of this brand-new spot accommodates a restaurant and a small shop, where it is possible to buy caviar and roe. The bottom floor can be booked for private events. There is a tasting menu, and oyster and caviar workshops are on offer.

Salt, Vase 14
This charming little restaurant in Kadriorg has a menu brimming with exotic seafood: fresh oysters, octopus, mackerel, scallops and other delicacies.

Korsaar, Dunkri 5
This unique restaurant located in the Old Town is like a pirate ship, where the crew treats guests with mysterious delicacies. The menu includes a great selection of fish and meat dishes, and the wine card offers a worthy companion for each dish. The friendly crew of the restaurant welcomes families with children from 12 years of age and up.

Kalambuur, Toompuiestee 8
Kalambuur is a tiny fish restaurant hidden in the depth of Hirvepark (Deer’s Park). Here you can find dishes made with fresh seafood every day. The menu includes fish bites, soups and main dishes, as well as some great traditional desserts.

MEKK, Suur-Karja 17
The menu at MEKK ranges from light seafood dishes, such as fish soup à la Mekk, to heartier meals, such as lightly marinated baked whitefish.

Maru, Vesilennuki 6
A visit to the Seaplane Harbour café Maru is like an adventure in a fantastic maritime world, as the café offers a great view of the exhibition at the museum. The café’s menu is focused on traditional Scandinavian and Estonian coastal dishes, all based on a maritime theme. There is also a terrace, which is open in summer.

Mon Repos, Narva mnt 92
This historical restaurant in Kadriorg offers oysters and tiger prawns for those looking for a lighter meal. Mains include whitefish, tuna and more. Everyone who loves seafood will find something they like!

Tallinn Fish Market, located at the edge of the Kalamaja District (Kalaranna 1), trades fresh fish and seafood each Saturday. The local café Võrk offers delicious meals and drinks for visitors. Kalamaja has always been a place where fresh fish is sold.

Regular summer trips to the nearby islands of Aegna and Naissaar also start here at Kalasadama (Fish Harbour).
