Nordic Experience mentioned in Rick Steves 2024 Scandinavia guidebook

We’re excited to share that Nordic Experience was featured in the Rick Steves Scandinavia guidebook, released in the summer of 2024.

Here’s the honor we received in his own words:

Nordic Experience Tours, managed by Eva-Maria Egipt-Peenmaa, offers an extensive program of fairly priced private tours led by excellent licensed guides. While based in Tallinn, they offer tours (on foot or by van) of the great cities throughout the Baltics and Scandinavia. For details, see NordicExperience.com.

Rick visited Tallinn in the summer of 2023 and showed a keen interest in exploring both the historic heart and the modern face of the city. Below are two snapshots of him discovering contemporary Tallinn—from street art in Telliskivi to robot-powered innovation in Noblessner.

Rick Steves meets the future! Here he is with a Starship food delivery robot in front of Põhjala Brewery, located in the vibrant Noblessner district—an area where Estonian innovation and urban culture blend seamlessly.

Here’s another iconic moment: Rick Steves exploring the bohemian Telliskivi district in Tallinn, where he discovered a powerful piece by Estonia’s most famous stencil graffiti artist, Edward von Lõngus. Often dubbed the “Banksy of Estonia,” Lõngus remains anonymous while blending modern social issues with Estonian folklore. His art is rich in humor, irony, and sharp political commentary—just like this mural, where even a skeleton joins in for a selfie.
