We just did a private walking tour of Tallinn with 10&12 year old kids as a shore excursion from our cruise. Estonian Experience was great. Wonderful guide and driver. They put together a custom tour plan for us which included archery lesson and bastion catacombs tour, and it was significantly better and cheaper that the excursion packages offered on the ship. Kids loved it. Beautiful little town. Highly recommend.
Triin was our wonderful guide in an overview of some of the fascinating sites in this terrific city. It’s easy to navigate the old town; there are plenty of maps and tourist information resources. What is difficult is finding the hidden gems that the local haunt. We spent a good amount of time in the Kalamaja neighborhood and the newly-opened Balti Jaam market. She then took us to Teliskivi Culture Center where young creatives, artist studios, boutiques and interesting restaurants/bars have come together in a unique, post-Soviet factory area. Trina new the city like the back of her hand and gave us insights no tour book could have done!
This tour company was recommended by our hotel (Savoy Boutique) and we really lucked out in getting Triin as our guide. Her knowledge of the city and Estonia generally, as well as personableness and ability to weave in historical and cultural themes relevant to our individual interests made this the best tour we went on in our two week trip throughout Europe. Hands down. We cannot recommend her highly enough.
We didn’t realise it is a private tour, until Erik, our tour guide, picked us up from airport. He has a expand knowledge with Estonia and Tallinn. We have a ten years old boy. Sometimes it is really hard to keep my son interested in the history, but he enjoyed this time. Erik did a wonderful job, big thumbs up. Thank you, Erik. It is a best tour ever. Highly recommended!
