Estonia – surprises in a small package

We are a group of 9 travelers who spent 4 days in Estonia. We took 3 tours with Estonian Experience. The planning part was very easy, as we were very ably served by Triin, who helped us combine tours to ensure we covered what we wanted to in the days we had available. The 2 tours we very much enjoyed were : -Day Trip to Muhu & Saaremaa Islands, and -Lahemaa National Park & Manors with Bog Walk They offered an interesting combination of food, sea/coastal views, manor visits, castles, windmills in rural Estonia. Christina our guide was most attentive and friendly. Estonia is a small but interesting country with young energetic people; and Estonian Experience did a good job showing it to us.

Our family was on an 11 night Disney cruise visiting 8 countries. We were interested in doing a Marzipan workshop while in Tallinn, but the tours through the cruise line were booked. I found Estonian Experience and decided to book the tour through them. I was a little concerned because I had only booked tours through the cruise line in the past and I didn’t know what to expect.
We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Triin was the best guide we could have asked for. She was so personable and informative. Spending the day with her made all of us grow to love Estonia. We had eight people in our group with ages spanning 5 years old to over 70. Somehow Triin was able to entertain all of us and make this tour the favorite of our entire trip.
Thank you Triin and Estonian Experience for such a great day!

We are a family of 9 (age range 75 to 9 years old) and were on a Baltic cruise and spent the day with Eva-Maria in Tallinn on a private tour. She was an awesome guide. Her enthusiasm for her city is infectious. She turned what we thought to be a throw-away port of call to one of the funner stops on our cruise. She was easy to work with and highly responsive prior to docking in Tallinn so arranging the excursion was a breeze….don’t let the cruise line lock you into their terrible excursions with WAY too many people on the excursion! Get personalized service from companies like Eva-Maria’s!
She arranged a very nice bus for all of us so it was super comfortable. We have a child in a fold up wheelchair and she accommodated us perfectly. Mobility is a slight challenge in the old town (as in a lot of old European cities with a lot of cobblestone streets) but it was quite manageable for us.
We spent the day touring the old town, both upper and lower and then went to the Viking Village. This tour struck a good balance between the adults and the kids. The older folks appreciated the history and architecture of the old city and the kids had fun at the Viking Village, throwing axes and launching the catapult. The food served at the Viking Village was actually really good and the atmosphere of an old style Viking lodge was really fun.
We liked Eva-Maria so much, we decided to use her company to arrange excursions in Helsinki, Stockholm and Copenhagen and they were all excellent (I will add reviews in those cities).
I would highly recommend this company to arrange your excursions!
